Yellow Rose

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted something here.  I painted this today in my new studio.  Jut a miniature but lot's of fun.  I love doing these loose florals.  Sold already too!

Back at it!

Here are two new paintings.  One is a completely imaginary Fall camping scene.  We had glorious fall color this year and this painting was inspired after a camping trip with my son.  I painted the lighthouse from a Google maps image of a lighthouse Prince Edwards Island.  Hope you enjoy them!

This is a new painting inspired by an evening spent muskie fishing on Lake Katherine near Minocqua, Wisconsin last August.  It was an almost perfect evening.  No muskies but good company, beautiful scenery, and good memories!

Been awhile!

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted something.  I did not get much painting done this summer unfortunately but hope to rectify that this fall.  I do have two things to share.  One is an oil painting of a tundra scene with fireweed in spring.  I don't often play with oils but it's fun for a change.  The other is a watercolor that is larger than I normally paint.  This one is a pastoral farm scene that is 15 x 22 inches.  I'm very happy with the lost and found edges and loose style that I was able to achieve.  I hope you like them!
